Before drilling it is best to make sure that the antler base is relatively flat. If there is jagged ridges or bone sand those areas flat.

Take your antlers and hold them up to the Buck Bracket product and check visually for how you want those antlers to sit when mounted.

Use the supplied drill bit with your order to drill into the base of your antler. Deer products need approximately 3/4" deep pilot hole, elk, moose, and caribou require about 2" deep pilot hole.

Pronghorn Instructions

Pronghorn skulls require you to remove the horn sheaths from the original skull.

Our Buck Bracket replica pronghorn skull is designed with a universal fit system that allows a wide variety of horn sizes to mount securely. Due to natural variations in pronghorn horn size and shape, some larger horns may fit slightly looser than others.

If your horns feel loose during installation, we recommend wrapping the mounting post with a few layers of painter’s tape before sliding the horn on. This slightly increases the diameter of the mounting point and helps create a tighter, more secure fit while still allowing the horns to remain removable.

For customers wanting a completely permanent installation, putty, epoxy, or similar bonding material can be used to permanently secure the horns to the skull.
