Mounting Instructions

Installing your antlers is quick and simple. Most customers complete installation in under 10 minutes.

Prior Prep (Recommended)

For the most realistic and flush fit, lightly sand or grind the base of the antler flat before installation.

This step is optional, but helps create the cleanest finished appearance.

Step 1 — Drill Pilot Hole

Deer Products: Using the supplied 1/8” drill bit, drill a pilot hole approximately 3/4”–1” deep into the antler base.

Elk, Moose, Caribou Products: Using the supplied 13/64" drill bit, drill a pilot hole approximately 2 1/2"- 3" deep into the antler base.

IMPORTANT:

Antler is extremely dense. Make sure the pilot hole is drilled thoroughly enough so the screw does not bind excessively during installation.

💡 Pro Tip:

Drill the hole at the angle you want the antler to sit on the skull for the best final fitment.

Don’t worry — drilling into antler is much easier than most people expect, and minor mistakes are easy to correct.

This is the only power tool required for installation.

Step 2 — Install Snap Insert

Deer Products: Using a Phillips head screwdriver, screw the Antler Snap Insert into the pilot hole until fully seated and tight.

Elk, Moose, Caribou Products: Using the supplied 7/16" nut driver or socket, screw the Antler Snap Insert into the pilot hole until fully seated and tight.

If the insert becomes extremely tight before fully seating:

  • Stop
  • Back the insert out
  • Re-drill the pilot hole slightly deeper or cleaner

This prevents stripping due to the density of antler material.

Step 3 — Snap Into Place

Press the antler (with insert attached) firmly into the mounting holes on the skull or mount.

That’s it.

Your antlers are now securely mounted and ready for display.
